Anyone else have an unhealthy obsession with patterned paper? and glitter (it truly triggers a visceral happy response in me, but that is a whole other story!)? I have always loved playing with different patterned papers, and I was so tickled when I finally learned how to make a repeating pattern and could print my own scrapbook and crafting paper. When I discovered that these patterns could be transferred to fabric, wood, and metal, a whole new world opened up to me. Since then I have been having a blast trying to improve my skills and creating all sorts of new and coordinating patterns. My favorite motifs are definitely flowers, vines, and cute little critters, but I love challenging myself to try drawing other things, too. Below are a few examples of my surface pattern designs.
